The Southern Vampire Mysteries, also known as The True Blood Novels and The Sookie Stackhouse Novels, is an urban fantasy novel series written by Charlaine Harris. that revolves around a world inhabited by supernatural characters, including vampires, werewolves, and magical beings. This saga dares to ask, “What if the hero of prophecy fails?” Mistborn is a series of epic fantasy novels written by Brandon Sanderson. The first trilogy, published 2006-2008, was followed by a transitional sequel, which then became the first installment in a set that took place 300 years later. #22 The X-Files Novels in Order
The X-Files is a TV series revolving primarily around FBI special agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigating inexplicable cases that have been cataloged as “X-Files.” The series originally aired for nine seasons (1993-2002), returned for a season ten in 2016 and a season eleven in 2018. There were also two feature films, 1998’s The X-Files and 2008’s The X-Files: I Want to Believe. #44 The Mummy: Complete Universal Monsters Movies
The success of Dracula and Frankenstein inspired Universal to dig up another monster icon. Following the box office successes of Dracula and Frankenstein, Universal commissioned a new monster movie inspired by the media sensation caused by the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922 and the “Curse of the Pharaohs.” The original 1932 film The Mummy is about an ancient Egyptian mummy discovered by a team of archeologists and brought back to life through a magic scroll. Now alive in modern day, the mummy searches for his lost love, whom he believes has been reincarnated into a modern woman. The film led to a series of sequels, although the continuity that threaded them together was so loose that they never again referenced the mummy from the original film. Although not Universal’s first werewolf picture, 1941’s The Wolf Man launched one of the most important series in the Universal Monsters movies canon, one infused as much with tragedy as with horror. Often said to be the biggest selling science fiction novel in history. Dune by Frank Herbert launched a media empire in 1965 that has grown to include novels, Games, comics, films and television, and more.
