“Haunted Elevator” is a Saturday Night Live sketch about confused people trying to figure out the deal with this guy named David S. Pumpkins. The now-classic sketch starring Tom Hank was written by similarly confused people trying to figure out what his deal is.
Ex-SNL castmember Bobby Moynihan told Seth Meyers on NBC's Late Night on Wednesday that Hanks didn't quite understand the gag at first and he tried talking his way of it.
