Hellboy: Fight Scene
Hellboy and his team must save the world from rebellious creatures…
Hellboy is a half-demon who works as a paranormal investigator against dark forces inspired by mythology, folklore, pulp magazines, and other horror fiction. Starting as a comic book character created by Mike Mignola, Hellboy has also appeared in several movies and video games.
Today, we’re looking at a fight scene from his 2008 film Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The fate of mankind hangs in the balance when a ruthless prince awakens an unstoppable army of creatures and wages war with the human world. It’s up to Hellboy and his team of paranormal outcasts to face off with the forces of darkness in the ultimate battle of good versus evil!
In this Troll Market battle, Hellboy fights Mr. Wink…
Hellboy 2 was directed by Guillermo del Toro, and starred Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, and Luke Goss. Mr. Wink was played by Brian Steele—who told The Action Figure Hub that he doesn’t mind playing roles that cover up his face. “I have no problem being unrecognizable. It’s all good! I have the best job in the world. Portraying these characters I get a chance to bring them to life then let them live on their own.”
Of this film, director del Toro told the Guardian, “In the first Hellboy, I was a lot more slavish to [comic-book artist and Hellboy creator] Mike Mignola’s visual universe. This time I frankly decided to let my hair loose. It was a very difficult and painful movie to shoot, but creatively it was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had.”
