Godzilla Vs. Kong: Test Audience Likes It
There’s a lot riding on 2020’s kaiju slugfest Godzilla Vs. Kong, the fourth film in Legendery’s MonsterVerse. Although the previous three films ranged from good to great, the box office receipts weren’t what the studios were hoping for.
However, if reports can be believed, an early screening of the November 20 release went very well with the test audience. Director Adam Wingard’s Instagram post, believed to be related to the screening, exclaimed “Yesterday was a great day for these two fellas!”
Godzilla vs. Kong follows Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). Overall, it will be the 36th Godzilla film, and the 12th King Kong film.
Godzilla vs. Kong will star Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, Zhang Ziyi, and Demián Bichir. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters November 20, 2020.
