‘Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.’ in U.S. theaters March 22, 2023
Classic 2003 film with Godzilla, Mothra and Mechagodzilla will celebrate 20th Anniversary with one-night-only event
In the Toho Studios film Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., Mothra’s twin fairies appear with a warning to Japan: Kiryu—i.e., Mechagodzilla—must be put to rest at the bottom of the ocean or face the wrath of Mothra. When Godzilla returns once again, will humanity heed the warning or will Kiryu be forced to fight against two monsters?
For the film’s 20th anniversary, Fathom Events is showing Godzilla: Tokyo SOS in theater for one night only on March 22, 2023. Tickets are now available to pre-order.
A sequel to Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, the movie Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. is a 2003 Japanese kaiju film directed by Masaaki Tezuka, written by Tezuka and Masahiro Yokotani, and produced by Shogo Tomiyama. Produced and distributed by Toho Studios, it is the 28th film in the Godzilla series.
Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. was also one of the few movies to have direct connections with previous films in the series—including pointing all the way back to the 1961 movie Mothra.
