Star Trek First Contact Day Celebrates Nichelle Nichols’ Impact on Science and Representation

At the Star Trek First Contact Day virtual convention, several Star Trek actresses celebrated the contributions made by Nichelle Nichols to the Star Trek mythos—and, more significantly, her real-life impact on NASA. Paramount+ announced that Woman In Motion: Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek and the Remaking of NASA will appear on the streaming service. The doc outlines how the actress who portrayed Lt. Uhura on Star Trek brought about real changes to bring diversity to NASA.
